The "Zero to Hero" seminar, held in Pathein and organized by Sayar Harry through a small grant from YSEALI YOUnified, featured an engaging session where I had the privilege of speaking on the principles of volunteerism and leadership.
In this seminar, I covered the essential aspects of developing a volunteer mindset geared towards meaningful societal contribution. I outlined two effective methods to kickstart a volunteer journey: participating in existing organizations or initiating personal volunteer projects. Additionally, I shared resources like Volunteer Radar and the Unified Orgs website to help participants discover volunteering opportunities.
An interactive segment was added to this seminar where participants formed groups to discuss the problem statements and potential solutions for their community service projects. This activity fostered collaboration and critical thinking, culminating in group presentations of their project proposals.
The seminar aimed to empower attendees with the knowledge, resources, and practical experience needed to transition from aspiring volunteers to impactful community leaders.
